Last Stage: Finally!

Image
Three quarters have passed and finally we are now at the last quarter of this school year! Many things have been taught to us, pre-calculus, ict, filipino, and many more. I still can't believe that we already reached this far! Next month, we will be having our completion and continue to take another step, another level. Sure, there are circumstances we faced, especially the stress we face only to become an "honor" student. However, once late at night I was thinking, did I ever learn anything throughout this school year? This school year have been very tough for me since we just came from a modular distance learning when I was used in just give and take answers with my classmates. It was really hard for me to adjust to the new environment I was in. I met new people from the other section, I had a few friends from there, I met a lot of people! But most especially, I learned a lot of things. From pre-calculus down to our last subject, math. But here, we will just talk about

Planning it out...

Ever since I was a child, I have always dreamed of becoming a teacher. I wanted to teach children just like my mom’s dream for herself. However she failed to achieve it so I decided I will reach that dream for her. But they say “people change”, and so as my dreams. When I started High School and entered the world of Special Mathematics Class, I learned how to love my enemies before, numbers. Since then, I wanted to become an accountant, just like my ates in the church.             There were lots of jobs or professions I wanted to reach: accountancy, tourism, entrepreneurship, law. I wanted to take accountancy because of my love for numbers while I also wanted to enter the tourism industry and become a flight attendant because I thought their uniform was cool! Weird, I know, but I was convinced to take tourism because of that, no lies. Moreover, I wanted to enter the business world because of my mom; I want to build a bigger opportunity for her business. Also, I want to

Grab the Chance to Change

Image
Changing the world might seem like an insurmountable task, but I believe that’s because many people approach changing the world in the wrong way. They focus on trying to create wide-sweeping changes in the political and social structures around them. The problem is, these structures have been sturdy for so long that they are almost impossible to change.           Once people realize that changing the world is difficult, they begin to give up on those dreams they had. They let those dreams wash away and replace them with “realistic” goals that other people give them. Maybe you’ve even experienced this yourself. Have you ever heard the following statements? “Get realistic” “Stop chasing a pipe dream” “One person can’t make a difference, anyway” Maybe you listened to them, and now here you are reading this blog.           The truth is, it is possible to change the world. But to change the world, you have to change yourself first. You have to change your mentality, your habits, a

Simple happiness for moms!

Mother figures come in all shapes, sizes, and relationships. They don't have to have given birth to you to gain recognition on this special day. Mother figures could be foster moms, aunties, mom's friends, or sisters; any woman who raised you as a kid, stuck by you as a moody teenager, and are your occasional shoulder to cry on - they've always had your back. And these are but a few reasons that we celebrate these amazing women with Mother's Day - a tradition that's held across the world.      Though the day started several centuries ago, it has remained an important date in the calendar and has today evolved to include shopping for the best Mother's Day gifts, creating thoughtful homemade Mother's Day cards, and other Mother's Day activities. However, my mother and i celebrated it differently, we celebrated the day with the other mothers that are member of the church!       To give further details to our celebration, allow me to nar

JUICY FACTS ABOUT LABOUR DAY!

Image
Labor Day is a day to celebrate the accomplishments of workers and to honor their contributions. It's also a time to recognize the sacrifices they make on behalf of our country. In the Philippines, Labor Day falls on May 1 every year. The holiday has been observed since May 1, 1903 under the Union Obrero Democratica de Filipinas (UODF) , when Philippine Assembly passed a bill for its recognition year 1908. On May 1, 1974, former president Ferdinand E. Marcos, signed Presidential Decree No. 442 known as the Labor Code of the Philippines. From then on, it has been observed annually—a legacy that continues today under President Bongbong Marcos’ administration.        The first mass celebration of Labor Day in Manila took place in 1903, with more than 100,000 employees joining other government officials in a parade through Tondo's Plaza Moriones to Malacanang . In order to commemorate this event, several branches of government were encouraged to hold events throughou

So, today's blog will be all about what I've learned this quarter, and to put it bluntly, I'm not sure where to begin. But first, let's take a look at how this quarter went. This quarter has been a complete roller coaster for me, with various lessons in various subjects. This quarter has provided me with a wealth of information. Mathematical subjects, for example. This is my least favorite subject. It's been enjoyable for me. I've learned a lot about this topic. As well as in English class, where we learned about the structure of an essay and the different types of it. While studying ICT as a subject. It was also a topic that provided a lot of useful information.        This quarter's topics have been so helpful to me considering that we did a Community-based research. At first, I was complaining because we had so much school requirements to do and I was so stressed to do another research again. However, during the process when my classmate

Lent or kwaresma in Filipino is the season wherein Filipino people recall Christ’s passion, His suffering, death and resurrection. Philippines is known to be the only primarily Christian country in the whole of Asia and its population is made up of a big number of devout Christians, which is the reason why Lent Season or Holy Week traditions are commonly practiced in a very unique way. It is referred as Mahal na Araw or Semana Santa in the Philippines, it starts from Palm Sunday, followed by Holy Monday, Holy Tuesday, Holy Wednesday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday and concludes on Black Saturday and the Easter Sunday.      There are a lot of religions here in the Philippines but most of the Filipinos are Catholics. However, I am not one of the Catholic people but I believe in God. In this blog, I do not mean to offend anyone, instead, I am writing this blog to share what I and my family did during the Holy week. I may not be a Catholic but I still believe in God, I appreciate His s
